Document retrieval

Whenever possible, Swan independently retrieves required documents. If retrieval isn't possible, Swan may request the documents listed on this page to open an account for your company registered in 🇪🇸 Spain.

Mandatory documents

Documents marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. All other documents may be requested on a case-by-case basis.

Documents must be written in the Latin alphabet, and must be comprehensive, accurate, and compliant with legal requirements.

Justificante de domicilio de los UBOs	Proof of address of UBOs	Must be dated within the last 3 months.
Poder Notarial: Apoderado General or Apoderado Especial, and documento de identidad of the legal representative	Power of Attorney: general or special attorney, and the identity document of the legal representative	POA must be dated (within the last year) and signed. Identity document of the legal representative if they are not the account holder. Must be submitted in color, both sides (if applicable).

Primera transferencia bancaria	First transfer	Must be from a bank account in the name of the client. The bank account must be within the European Economic Area (EEA). Not required for Spanish IBANs (unless otherwise stated).
Justificante de domicilio	Proof of address	Must be dated within the last 3 months.
Declaración de la renta	Income tax return	Must be the most recent tax return.
Poder Notarial and the documento de identidad of the legal representative	Power of attorney and the identity document of the legal representative	Must be dated (within the last year) and signed. An identity document is required if the legal representative isn't the account holder.
