Local IBANs

Swan issues IBANs for different countries. French, German, and Spanish IBANs are available, and more are on the way.
The country code of the Local IBANs is determined by the country of the account. For each country, Swan must comply with different requirements depending on the local law.

French IBANs 🇫🇷

French IBANs are made up of 34 letters and numbers, and each set of characters represents a different detail for your account.
FR76 1732 8844 00XX XXXX XXXX XYY
FR = Country code
76 = Check digits
17328 = Swan's bank code
84400 = Swan's branch code for main IBANs (89900 for virtual IBANs)
XXXXXXXXXXX = Account number, 11 digits (not applicable for virtual IBANs)
YY = 'RIB' key, 2 digits

German IBANs 🇩🇪

German IBANs are made up of 22 letters and numbers, and each set of characters represents a different detail for your account.
DEYY 1001 4000 XXXX XXXX XX
DE = Country code
YY = Check digits
1001 4000 = Swan's bank code for main IBANs (1001 4001 for virtual IBANs)
XXXX XXXX XX = Account number, 10 digits (not applicable for virtual IBANs)

Spanish IBANs 🇪🇸

Spanish IBANs are made up of 24 letters and numbers, and each set of characters represents a different detail for your account.
Example: ESYY 6724 8440 ZZXX XXXX XXXX
ES = Country code
YY = Checksum (IBAN check)
6724 = Swan's bank code
8440 = Swan's branch code for main IBANs (8990 for virtual IBANs)
ZZ = Check digits (bank check)
XX XXXX XXXX = Account number, 10 digits (not applicable for virtual IBANs)

Dutch IBANs 🇳🇱

Dutch IBANs are made up of 18 letters and numbers, and each set of characters represents a different detail for your account.
Example: NLYY SWNB ZXXX XXXX XX
NL = Country code
YY = Checksum
SWNB = Swan's bank code
Z = IBAN type (1-4 for main IBANs, 5-9 for virtual IBANs)
ZXXX XXXX XX = Account number, 10 digits (not applicable for virtual IBANs)
